Lynn Hoyt, 1948-2017
Lynn Arthur Hoyt, husband of Mary (Knepper) Hoyt went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 13, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at Bible Baptist Church at 2238 Sandy Lane Las Vegas NV 89119 on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A light lunch will be served right after the memorial.
Lynn was born on January 3, 1948, in Rio Cuarto, Argentina, son of missionary parents, the late Rev. Solon Hoyt and Kathryn Hoyt. After graduation from Grace Theological Seminary, Lynn and Mary moved to Argentina where they served as church planting missionaries for more than 12 years. He loved his church families scattered across Argentina and the US and had a heart for people.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Hoyt; two daughters, Kathryn Goossen of Las Vegas, Nev., and Elizabeth Chang of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Michael Hoyt of Johns Island, S.C., and Philip Hoyt of Moncks Corner, S.C.; one granddaughter, Rachel Hoyt; his mother, Kathryn Hoyt of Winona Lake, Ind.; a sister, Rita Koch, of Upland, Ind., three brothers, Aldo Hoyt of Denver, Col., Ivan Hoyt of Warsaw, Ind., and Alan Hoyt, of Warsaw, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
