Services for Matthew Brown Scheduled

The visiting hours for Matthew Brown will be on this Friday, June 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Baptist Church (384 Washington Street, Gloucester, Mass.).  There will be a memorial service for Matthew at this church following the visiting hours.  After the service, all are invited to a time of food and fellowship at North Shore Bible Church, 65 Eastern Avenue, Essex, Mass.

Mathew was the son of Pastor Jack and Christine Brown in Glouster, Mass. Jack is the executive director of Grow New England in addition to leading the North Shore Bible Church in Essex, Mass.

Matthew Brown, 1991-2018

Matthew Paul Brown. 27, of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2018, in Addison Gilbert Hospital.

Matthew was born February 26, 1991, in New Castle, Pa. He lived most of his life in Gloucester. He is the son of Reverend John A. “Jack” Brown, Jr. and Christine (Wismer) Brown of Gloucester.

Matt worked security for many years. He had to stop working due to his ill health.

Matt had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone out. He battled with heart disease for five years but was always able to rally. He held a high respect for those who served in the military and first responders.

In addition to his mother and father, Matthew is survived by his grandparents, Ray and Clara Wismer of Pottstown, Pa. His sister, Luisa Brown of Gloucester, his nephew, Elijah Jack Robinson Brown, as well as many aunts, uncle cousins and great friends.

Matthew’s visitation will be in the Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, 384 Washington St. Gloucester on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 9-11 a.m. His Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 Am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
